Jimmy Colas is out of the planned defense of the EU 154 lb title against fellow Frenchman Christopher Canclaux on the big Abraham vs Miranda show in Wetzlar on Saturday due to illness. Replacing Colas is another Frenchman, Youkri Chentour, who take on Canclaux for the vacant title.

Russian Devi Goiya is back on as challenger for EBU super middleweight champ Mger Mkrtichian. The fight goes ahead the Konti Kasino in St Petersburg on October 5. Gogiya was last week replaced by Spaniard Gabriel Campillo, but is now back again.

Tough Belgian Ismail Abdoul returns to action on October 5 in Prague when he takes on local hero Lubos Suda for the IBF I/C cruiserweight title. Abdoul makes no ifs
and buts about that his best weight is at light heavyweight, but takes fights as cruiser as well and just challenged EBU champ David Haye.

WBA middleweight champ Javier Castillejo has signed contracts for a defense against Argentinian Mariano Carrera, but no date have been set.

Jaime Pons will take on veteran Miguel Angel Pena for the vacant Spanish welterweight title on December 1 in Hospitalet de Llobregeat. Pons tunes up against Freddy Blanco on October 6.

Interbox´s Romanian super middleweight Lucien Bute suffered a hand injury last weekend in beating James Obede Toney and is unable to fight in Copenhagen on October 14.

Finnish Steel Ring promotes in Yliharma on September 23 and have a three fight bill. Swedish superbantam Karl "Kid" Jones takes on Estonian Sergey Tasimov while welterweight debutant Jarno Ruotsalainen is in against Sergey Volodin. Heavyweight Juho Haapoja face Pavel Baryshnikov.

Swiss cruiserweight Nuri Seferi stopped Romanian Florin Chidice last weekend, but suffered an injury and is out until December.
