The Swedish Ministre of Justice has now - finally - made it´s proposal to change the law that prohibits professional boxing in Sweden since 1970. As previously indicated, the changes will make sure to include K 1 and other martial arts that were non-existent in Sweden a few decades ago. There will be safety laws applied. In the case of boxing, it will be as safe as amateur boxing with the addition of thicker gloves, head gear (or no punches to the head), shorter distances etc. The new law could be in effect as early as October of next year.
