Italian cruiserweight Pietro Aurino outscored brave Latvian Roman Dabolins in the headliner of OPI 2000´s show in Civitavecchia tonight. Aurino was on top throughout but Dabolins, with an extensive background in martial arts but only a handful of profights, fought back well. The Italian kept the pressure up and finally floored Dabolins late in the eighth and final round. It was too late though and the Latvian lasted the distance.

Middleweight Domenico Spada stopped Frenchman Christophe Karagoz in the fourth due to a badly cut eye. Spada was well on top at the time of the stoppage.

Newly crowned WBA interim light heavyweight champ Silvio Branco and his brother Gianluca, who both hail from Civitavecchia, were introduced in the ring.
