Norwegian Viking Boxing Promotions will have their next show  on September 17 in Ilsenburg, Germany, in collaboration with SES. VBP will bring in superbantam Reidar Walstad and lightheavy Kim Jensen. The SES part of the card is headlined by NBA 160 lb champ Dirk Dzemski.
 
German cruiser Ruediger May returns to action on the Beyer vs Sheika show on September 3 in Berlin and takes on young lion Marco Huck. Sauerland Event had previously announced the end of May´s career and even his brother/trainer Torsten adviced him to retire. Ruediger insisted on going through with the existing contract with Sauerland - and gets a very tough comback fight against the promising Huck.
 
Swedish welter Isam Khalil, 12-0-2, is in full training and might make his US debut on September 30 or October 14 on a show in New Jersey.
 
Mogens Palle, manager, and Mads Larsen, fighter, met a few days ago with the Danish Federation for "peace talks" but no agreement could be reached and the matter now heads to court. Larsen, inactive since beating Danilo Haussler for the EBU title in October 4, 2003. He was going to challenge the then WBA 168 lb champ Manny Siaca on November 12, 2004, in Copenhagen, but was forced out with an injury. The problems started when Larsen felt the show, a PPV event, should have been postponed. Instead Team Palle replaced Mads with stablemate Mikkel Kessler.
 
Norwegian jr welter Geir Inge Jorgensen has been forced to pull out of Saturday´s show in Auburn Hills, MI, due to visa problems. I interviewed Geir Inge for boxpress a few days and he was back in Norway to attend a friend´s wedding. As he returned to the US - five days before his fight in Auburn Hills - he was stopped at the passport control and denied entrance as he had didn´t have work permission. Jorgensen might now get the chance to land on the undercard of the Wladimir Klitschko vs. Samuel Peter card in Atlantic City on September 24 or fight September 17 in Ilsenburg with Viking Boxing Promotion.
 
The African Warrior, Evans Ashira, confirms rumors that there are talks between his promoter, Don King Productions, and Sports Network about a possible fight against WBO supermiddle king Joe Calzaghe on September 10 in Cardiff. Nothing is signed though.
 
Belgian bantam Carmelo Ballone has replaced Karim Quibir as the mandatory challenger for EBU champ Simone Maludtrottu.
