German paper Bild Zeitung reports that Stan Cunningham´s defense of the IBF cruiserweight against Marco Huck will go ahead December 29 in Bielefeld.
Although National Boxing Promotions scrapped Zauerbek Baysangurov´s defense of the EBU jr. middleweight title against Roman Dzuman November 17 in Kiev the show will go ahead headlined by giant Belorus ex- Muay Thai heavyweight Alexander Ustinov. Opponent is to be announced. As for Baysangurov, he will defend the belt against Jamie Moore December 8 in Wigan, UK. NBP is close with the Klitschko brothers´ promotional company K 2 - so close so that the two are likely to join forces in the near future.
Sauerland Event is about to sign up Norwegian female jr. welterweight Cecilia Braekhus. Braekhus turned pro last season but announced her retirement after just four fights (4-0). However, a change of management, a deal with Norwegian network TV 2 and Cecilia is ready to go again. She is already among the best in the world.
Arena Box Promotion have signed up veteran cruiserweight Ruediger May. May makes his debut for Arena November 17 in Schwedt.

The fight between Carmelo Ballone and Eugen Sorin Tanasie for the vacant EBU bantamweight crown will now go ahead December 21 in Charleroi, Belgium.
Italian reports indicates that Loris Stecca, age 47, is in training for a comeback 2008. Stecca, 55-2, last active in 1988, held the WBA superbantam title 84-85. The comeback, if it comes off, will be with a Croatian license.
