Escol Loses IBF Pan Pacific Title Via KO

The Philippines' Joel Escol lost his IBF Pan Pacific super bantamweight title via a second round knockout at the hands of Thailand’s Fahsan 3K Battery, the same fighter who lost to Manny Pacquiao by a fourth round KO last December 11 in "Yanig sa Taguig" at The Fort.

Escol who won the title with a sixth round KO of Fahsai Sakkririn last April 22 was no match for Fahsan. The aggressive Fahsan, a southpaw, dominated the action from the opening bell and had Escol in trouble with his combination punches and put the Filipino away at 2:47 in round two.

Fahsan was coming off a fourth round knockout victory over another Filipino Benjie Concepcion last June 20 and improved his record to 47-8-1 with 25 knockouts.
