IBF # 3, EBU # 1, WBC # 9, WBO # 5 and WBA # 15 light heavyweight Erik Skoglund (25-0) take on Austrian Timy Shala (21-1-1, EBU # 18) on October 28 in Nykoping (Sweden) writes sn.se in the headliner of a Sauerland promotion.

Skoglund has been world rated for some time now and do have some good wins but have never fought a genuine contender and in Shala he faces an opponent who holds a decent win over touch Czech Tomas Adamek and a loss against current WBO # 1 Dominic Boesel but not much else.

“I was originally preparing for October 1, but Ricky pulled me to one side the other day and told me I could box in Walsall as well if I wanted to.
 
“It’s short notice, but I jumped at the chance. I’m always fit and ready to go and this is an opportunity to add another win to my record.”
 
Blaney, who has been compared to Canelo Alvarez, upped sticks from the Emerald Isle and moved to Manchester to work with boxing legend Ricky Hatton earlier this year.
 
“I love having Ricky as my trainer as well as my promoter. I’ve been boxing since I was eight years old and I’m still learning every day.
 
“Ricky has shown me some little tiny things that nobody has shown me before and they’re making me stronger and faster.”
