Former three division champion Erik "El Terrible" Morales continues to train hard at the Otomi Ceremonial in Temoaya (Mexico State) for the battle with the hard puncher from Argentina, junior welterweight Marcos Maidana. Their battle takes place on April 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"I am motivated and eager to get my fourth world title. Maidana is strong, hardened, and they say he hits hard with both hands. If I win, it will be an important step for me. I am confident in my ability to win. A lot of people say that I'm not the same as I was before, but we know that boxing is all about styles," Morales said.

Maidana hired a new trainer for this fight, Rudy Perez, who used to handle Morales' Mexican rival Marco Antonio Barrera. Morales is not concerned about Maidana boasting that Perez has him figured out.

"I did not know that Rudy had identified my weaknesses. Moreover, I fix any any possible weakness. For each of my fights, I plan a different strategy and tactics, although the base is the same, but hey, let's see what surprise they have for me - as long as it's not any illegal blows. I have no problem with weight. As you can see, I'm very relaxed," Morales said.
