Former four division world champion Erik Morales (52-9, 38KOs) will return to the ring on the 22nd of March in the city of Monterrey, when he faces Jorge 'Maromerito' Paez (37-4-1, 22KOs) - in one of the two fights Morales plans to do before hanging up the gloves. Morales will return for the first time since the fourth round knockout loss to WBA/WBO 140-pound champion Danny Garcia.
"I feel good, right now I'm working a bit in the gym, but in the next few days I'm going to put myself into the training to get in shape for my next fight and give the people a good show," said Morales.
Morales will travel on Sunday to Mexico City and then take his camp to Toluca, where he will train alongside with his team formed by Diego Morales, Fernando Fernández and Raúl Robles.
