This past Saturday night in Las Vegas, Eric Morel easily dispatched Mexico's Daniel Quevedo. Morel (45-2, 23 KOs) was surpised that Quevedo (13-12, 8 KOs), who went down twice, did not come out of his corner after the fourth round. Quevedo had never been stopped before in his career.

Now Morel is focused on a potential fight with WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno, which may take place on a date in November. Morel would like to face Chemito, and then stage a unification with IBF champion Abner Mares. Morel feels the winner of a fight between him and Mares should move on to a unification with WBC/WBO champion Nonito Donaire.

"First I want to Moreno and then to unify the titles [with Mares] and then the winner could face Donaire," Morel said.
