Veteran heavyweight Eric Molina is preparing for his upcoming fight against undefeated prospect Fabio Wardley, which takes place on the undercard to the Alexander Povetkin vs. Dillian Whyte rematch on March 6. The event will be broadcast on DAZN and Sky Sports Box Office.

Molina will attempt to bounce back from his knockout loss to another dangerous heavyweight prospect, Olympic bronze medal winner Filip Hrgovic.

In December 2019, Hrgovic blew away Molina in three rounds of action on the undercard to the Anthony Joshua-Andy Ruiz rematch.

Molina has a lot of respect for the abilities of Hrgovic (12-0, 10 KOs) and views him as a major force in the future landscape of the heavyweight division.

For the moment, he doesn't have the same type of feelings when it comes to Wardley.

"Let me tell you something about Hrgovic, this is something that I know. This is something we don't know about Fabio Wardley. Hrgovic has one of the toughest chins that you guys don't know about yet. The guy had over 100 amateur fights. He fought in the World Series of Boxing," Molina said to Sky Sports.

"He fought Joe Joyce. They beat the sh-t out of each other. Hrgovic does not back down. I landed, other guys have landed on him, they have never fazed him. He's never been hurt, he's never been wobbled, he's never been stopped. That says a lot, because he's been in there with good punchers and big heavyweights.

"I think when you compare Hrgovic with this kid Fabio Wardley. I don't know if Fabio Wardley can take as much, and I'll be honest, I don't know if many heavyweights can take as much as Hrgovic."
