A legal battle has erupted in Canada. Eric Lucas, former WBC super middleweight champion, has filed a legal claim of nearly $400,000 against promotional firm InterBox and their president Jean Bedard. Lucas was a former partner and spokesman for InterBox. He resigned from his position with the company on July 11th.

Lucas filed the legal suit to recover monies that he claims are owed in connection to a revenue sharing agreement related to the past and future television rights of Montreal superstar and former champion Lucian Bute .

InterBox are not planning to back down from Lucas' lawsuit. They have promised to prove, in a court of law, that their company honored any and all agreements with the former boxer.
