It appears that Enzo Maccarinelli's defense of the WBO cruiserweight title against Ezra Sellers on the November 3 has been blocked by the British Boxing Board of Control. The BBBC has refused to clear Seller, calling the bout a mismatch and noting that Sellers was in no worthy of a title shot.

The fight fight takes places on the undercard to Joe Calzaghe-Mikkel Kessler at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.

"Sellers has boxed only once in three years," Board general secretary Simon Block told the South Wales Echo. "Before that, he suffered some substantial defeats in 2004, albeit to good men, and on that basis we thought he was not suitable for a world title fight - and the WBO agreed with us."

Frank Warren of Sports Network told BBC Sport he is looking for a late replacement for the show. Some of the names include Darnell Wison, Vincenzo Cantatore and Giacobbe Fragomeni.
