Emil Hadribeaj (20-0-1) will defend the WBC International super welterweight title against German Ilhami Aydemir (22-2) on May 23 in Zagreb. This fight was first announced for May 17 in Maidstone (UK) but will now go ahead in Croatia.
Hadribeaj vs. Aydemir is the chief support to Luka Plantic’s defence of the WBC International super middleweight title against an opponent to be announced.
Hadribeaj, who was born in Albania, began his pro career in the US but was signed up by Arena Box Promotion and Ahmet Öner last year and has won three fights since then – all title defences.
Aydemir has been a pro since 2014 and has only fought once in Germany since 2021. In 2023 he announced on social media that he had signed with Don King Productions but has only fought two low-level six-rounders since then, winning both.
