BoxingScene.com has been advised that undefeated super featherweight Eloy Perez (21-0-2) will face Daniel Jimenez (20-3-1), a Dominican who fights out of Puerto Rico on September 2nd. The fight will be broadcast on Telefutura's Solo Boxeo series and will take place in Perez's hometown of Salinas, CA.

Jimenez is best known for giving  Vincete Escobedo his first loss in 2006, a fight that took place in Escobedo's backyard.

Perez last fought in April when he dominated Alejandro Rodriguez, winning all 10 rounds on all three judge's scorecards. Perez's WBO NABO super featherweight title will be at stake.

Perez's team unsuccessfully tried to set up a WBO eliminator with fellow undefeated prospect  Luis Cruz.
