Leonard Ellerbe, CEO for Mayweather Promotions, says the promotion is going great for the upcoming Showtime Pay-Per-View event on September 12th - when WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs) will put his undefeated record on the line against two-time welterweight world champion Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KOs).

The fight takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Mayweather says the upcoming defense will be his final bout as a professional.

There have been reports that Berto's significant underdog status has hurt the promotion. Some betting sites have Mayweather listed as an 80-1 favorite. Berto is 3-3 in his last six fights and many expect the fight to be one-sided in the champion's favor.

Elerbe disputes those reports.

"Everything is right on track with the promotion. Doing a media workout like this is very important to keep the publicity up and to market the event and let the fighters interact with the fans. We have a tremendous undercard on September 12," Ellerbe said. Everything is going great. This has been a great promotion."

"The Showtime All Access episodes have been excellent and are getting the fans and media excited for this fight."
