31-year-old Russian light heavyweight prospect Egor Mekhontsev (10-0, 7KOs) will return to the ring in late January, according to his manager Vadim Kornilov.

It was the third fight, and win, of the year for Egor. He started with a first round destruction of Marcelo Silva in March and then came back in May to win an eight round unanimous decision over Hakim Zoulikha. After a string of knockout wins, Egor has gone the distance in three of his last four fights.

The Olympic gold medal winner, 31-years-old, will look to step up his competition in 2016.
