Lithuanian welterweight Egidijus Kavaliauskas has relinquished the European title. The EBU had set purse bids for January 8 as deadline for purse bids for Kavaliuskas' mandatory defence against Belgian Anas Messaoudi.

Spain’s Samuel Molina – who lost the title to Kavaliauskas via split decision – was waiting in the wings for the winner. Before that, he drew with Massaoudi and a rematch has now been ordered with January 28 set as the date for purse bids.

Bids have also been ordered on that date for Troy Williamson to defend his European super middleweight championship, won via upset victory over Callum Simpson, against Spain’s Jose Luis Navarro.
