Shortly after yet another first-round knockout, undefeated WBA super featherweight champion Edwin Valero (21-0, 21KOs) dared Bob Arum of Top Rank to sign a fight between him and Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao.
It only took him 72 seconds to crush Mexican Michael Lozada at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo.
Valero then blasted Pacquiao for comments made by the Filipino fighter several months ago. Pacquiao poked fun at Valero and the quality of his opponents, calling them "tricycle drivers."
"I want Manny (Pacquiao) next, hope (Bob) Arum is listening. I don't want to hear )(from) Manny a lot of excuses to fight me this time. If our fight will happen, he will realize that he too is a cab driver," said Valero.
