Russia's Eduard Troyanovskiy (23-0, 20KOs) was ordered to make a mandatory title defense of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior welterweight championship by August 2016.

On November 4th in Kazan, Troyanovskiy scored a TKO win Argentine Cesar Rene Cuenca and unify the IBO and IBF title. The contract for that fight had a rematch clause, and the second fight is tentatively scheduled for April 8 in Moscow.

The IBF has no information regarding the rematch, but a mandatory challenger is not exactly clear yet.

Keita Obara and Walter Castillo fought in an IBF final eliminator last month to a controversial twelve round draw. One judge scored the fight for Obara and the remaining two had it a draw. Obara is still listed a the number three contender in the IBF rankings.

Troyanovskiy wants to face the biggest and champions in his division, hoping some of those fights take place in 2016.
