Several sources have advised BoxingScene.com that lightweight contender Edner Cherry (27-6, 15KOs) has withdrawn from his upcoming fight with Omri Lowther (14-1, 10KOs), which scheduled for August 28 at the Metropolis in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Cherry-Lowther was the planned main event for ESPN2's broadcast of Friday Night Fights. According to reliable sources, Cherry was simply pulled from the fight, but the exact reason for the withdrawal has not been confirmed. A late replacement is being sought.
