At the Forum del Mundo Imperial in Acapulco, Mexico, former champion Edgar Sosa (38-6, 22 KOs) returned to the ring for the first time since last November two round TKO loss to Rodel Mayol, and stopped Roberto Leyva (27-12-1, 21 KOs) in two rounds. After a clash of heads in the fight with Mayol, Sosa's cheekbone was fractured and it required surgery and months of recovery time. A former WBC junior flyweight champion, Sosa is now fighting in the flyweight division. The fight with Leyva took place around the super flyweight limit.
