WBC silver flyweight champion Edgar Sosa (48-7, 29KOs) is planning to return in the month of May. Earlier this month, Sosa avenged two previous defeats which took place early in his career - by knocking out countryman Archie Solis in two rounds in Jalisco. Contrary to an announcement by the World Boxing Council, Sosa has no plans to vacate his WBC silver belt. Sosa is waiting for the opportunity to challenge the WBC's full champion Toshiyuki Igarashi of Japan.

"I will rest for a few days and then go back to the gym, waiting for the name of my next opponent - because I was handed various names and it might be Giovanni Segura or another opponent of a good level," Sosa said.
