WBC junior flyweight champion Edgar Sosa (34-5, 18KOs) plans to make four defenses of his title in 2009. Sosa made four defenses of the title in 2008, stopping Juanito Rubillar, Takashi Kunishige and winning decisions over Jesus Iribe and Sonny Boy Jaro.

"I want to make another four defenses of my title, to at least reach ten defenses, unless that I see that I'm having problems with the weight," Sosa told ESTO.

Sosa admits that after a near decade at junior flyweight, his body is giving him a struggle to make the weight limit.

"It's not as severe as other boxers, but it's 10-years that I've been at 108-pounds and the struggles a little bit, but I don't kill myself from hunger," Sosa said. "This Monday I will begin to jog a little and begin to get myself back to form."
