MEXICO CITY -- WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa predicted a fifth-round knockout win against his Japanese challenger Takashi Kunishige, who is equally oozing with confidence. The fight on Saturday night at Palacio de los Deportes.
The 28-year old hero from this 10 million inhabitant city showed his five fingers when this writer asked his anticipated victory against his 7th ranked contender.
On the other hand, Kunishige is looking for a decision win.
The protagonist occupied the Boxeo de Gala gym, located at Francisco Ayala No. 5 Col. Paulino Navarro Delegation Cuauhtemoc here, simultaneously for their workout.
Sosa arrived while Kunishige was on the final stretch of his leg exercises in the third floor of the building.
The winner of the fight will face the survivor of the final elimination bout between top contenders Omar Nino and veteran Juanito Rubillar.
Nino has arrived here from Guadalajara this afternoon and won’t available for interviews. Rubillar is confident despite nursing a boil or carbuncle on the right side of his back, near the armpit.
