Edgar Sosa, the International flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), wants to display an impressive performance on July 2 when he faces Uruguay's Julio Paz. Sosa (42-6-0, 25 KO) would like to stop Paz (12-1, 4 KO) inside the distance to add excitement before a September clash with WBC champion Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (80-3-1, 44 KO). This is going to be Sosa's final clash before his title opportunity.
"I am determined to go out with a win over the tough Uruguayan, because then comes the long awaited fight with Wonjongkam, where I'm going to have my name represent Mexico to win my second gold and green belt. I will provide excitement to the fans when I face Paz and I'll leave with my hand raised," said Sosa.
