Paredes was in action twice in 2013, winning a ten round unanimous decision over Noe Bolanos in August and knocking out Basilio Silva in three rounds in April.
"I was fortunate to work with Ed Paredes and his team for a long period of three years. I have only words of encouragement and best wishes for Paredes and his team headed by Vidal Paredes. I wish the best for both in the immediate future; Edward is a seasoned fighter and hopefully very soon he will gets the fights that all boxers crave," Rivalta said.
"During our business relationship we had a strong friendship grow between us and I worked hard to put his name among the top ranked welterweights. His power and determination in each fight earned him a position in the top ten rankings of the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO and I'm sure that when Ed has a chance to fight for a world title - I'll be in front of the TV giving all my support... I have no doubt that Paredes will achieve his dream some day. From my office I would give my respects to his team, and best wishes in 2014 for him and his family."
