Ebanie Bridges is now on a losing streak – and she doesn’t want to wait too long to try to bring that streak to an end.

Bridges, a former bantamweight titleholder, is set to fight on April 18 in Houghton-le-Spring, England, according to event promoter VIP Boxing. Her opponent has not yet been announced.

The show at Rainton Arena is topped by April Hunter, an 8-1 junior middleweight who will face an opponent still to be determined.

Bridges, 9-3 (4 KOs), is a 39-year-old from Australia now living in the U.K. She won the IBF belt at 118lbs from Maria Cecilia Roman in March 2022 but lost it in her second defense to Miyo Yoshida in December 2023.

Bridges then had an extended layoff that included having a baby. She signed last year with Most Valuable Promotions and returned this January on the undercard of Amanda Serrano vs. Reina Tellez. But Bridges’ comeback didn’t begin as she hoped. She lost an eight-round decision to the 3-2-1 Alexis Araiza Mones.
