Karl Dargan, nephew of Nazim Richardson, is ready for a big 2015.
The 29-year-old lightweight faces Tony Luis on "Friday Night Fights" in January in his biggest fight yet. Following the bout, Kathy Duva of Main Events hopes to have her fighter ready for the bright lights of HBO.
"We think 2015 will be Dargan's year," Duva recently told BoxingScene.com. "He's ready to step up his level of competition. He's starting the year off right by headlining his first main event on ESPN2 on January 30th, then (assuming he wins) we hope to have him on HBO by the middle of the year. The lightweight division better be ready!"
Dargan (17-0, 9 KOs) stopped Angino Perez on NBC in his last fight.
