One of the greatest fighters to enter the ring, Hall of Famer Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran, gave his thoughts on the much talked about contest between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on Mexico. The fight between Cotto and Canelo is being negotiated for Cinco De Mayo weekend, May 2 of next year.
Duran says both fighters can bang, but he tips Canelo as having the better chin and doesn't like the fact that Cotto rarely ever holds to escape difficult moments in a contest.
"It will be a tough [fight]. Canelo is strong. I've seen him box but he seems to be confused on what to do at times. Cotto hits hard, but Canelo does too. For me, Cotto is not able to endure a lot [of punishment]. He doesn't hold much and it's been proven that he can't take too much [punishment] on the chin," Duran said.
