Young prospect Thomas Dulorme (19-1 and 14 KO's), ranked fifth and sixth at 140 pounds in the WBA and WBC, said he was ready to give an excellent demonstration on the 30th of November at Guillermo Angulo in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He will face Mexican opponent Ubaldo Hernandez, but he wants a shot at Ruslan Provodnikov (23-2, 16 KO's), the junior welterweight champion under the World Boxing Organization.
"We are going to put on a great showing that night. As always. I'm very excited. This fight is very important to keep climbing in the rankings and closer to the title. I'm sixth in the WBC and with the WBA I'm fifth. I would fight with anyone but I want Provodnikov. He is a strong fighter, well seasoned and everyone thinks he's Superman. Many people say that he will knock me out but that's not true. I've seen him and he's pretty good but I know that I can beat him," Dulorme said.
"I'm taking it easy. We are not rushing things. I am 23-years-old and I think that this opportunity will be finalized by 2014. I want to get a little more experience. When I fight for the title I want to do it against a solid champion who is on top like Provodnikov, who everyone thinks is invincible. When the opportunity comes, I want a guy like that to prove that I'm real."
