BoxingScene.com has been advised that junior welterweight contender Thomas Dulorme will hire world class trainer Robert Garcia early next week with the hopes of advancing his career to the next level. The Puerto Rico resident will hold his training camps in Oxnard, California where Garcia's gym is located. Dulorme had been trained by Jose Bonilla and also visited with Floyd Mayweather Sr. in Las Vegas before deciding on Garcia.
"Dulorme thinks Bonilla is a great trainer. It is just time to move on and learn from someone else," said our source.
Our source also said that Dulorme is looking to return to the ring in March or April in a bout televised by HBO and would like to face Karim Mayfield, Mauricio Herrera, Michael Perez, John Molina.
"Whoever has the balls to fight Thomas Dulorme, step up. You know where to find us. They are okay fighters and Thomas respects them but Thomas is on another level. Hopefully one of them steps up to the plate. After that we want Provodnikov, Peterson or Danny Garcia by the end of the year," stated the source.
