Southpaw Junmar Dulog of the Philippines has scored a third round TKO victory over Australian Charlie Vella at the State Sports Center in Home Bush, Sydney.
The 20 year old Filipino from Surigao City who is based in Sydney is trained by brothers Jeffrey and Hermie Bohol and is managed by their father Dido Bohol of Cebu who migrated to Australian many years ago and has a stable of Filipino and Australian boxers. Among his prized fighters is hard-hitting Ranee Ganoy who is due to fight former WBC featherweight title challenger Robbie Peden on March 9.
In a brief text message Dido Bohol said the end came in 1:30 of the third round and the young Filipino who came in at 136 ½ pounds proved too good for his 23 year old Australian opponent who tipped the scales at 138 ¼ pounds.
It was Dulog’s third consecutive victory. He was coming off a four round unanimous decision over Brendon Batty last November 10 while Vella was also coming off a unanimous decision over Ariel Omongos last November 24.
