Frank Warren, promoter for heavyweight puncher Daniel Dubois, would have no problem matching his boxer against Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk is the WBO's mandatory challenger to their heavyweight title.
The current beltholder is Anthony Joshua, who also holds the IBF, IBO, WBA world titles.
Joshua is scheduled to face the IBF's mandatory challenger, Kubrat Pulev, on December 12 in London.
If Joshua wins, he plans to face WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in 2021.
Usyk intends to press his position as mandatory challenger - which in turn could force Joshua to vacate the WBO belt.
If Joshua decides to drop the WBO title, then Usyk will have to face the highest ranked contender, which is Dubois, for the vacant belt.
At the same time, Dubois would have to win his very dangerous fight against Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce on November 28.
Warren watched closely as Usyk won a very tough twelve round decision over Derek Chisora last Saturday.
"He did what he had to do. He fought Derek Chisora and Derek always fights well enough to come second in big fights, that’s what he always does. It was a yardstick to look at, for me, as far as Usyk is concerned. Usyk was a tremendous cruiserweight, I just don’t think he’s gonna do the business at the top level at heavyweight," Warren told Talk Sport.
"He’s not big enough and I think to myself, ‘What would’ve happened if he’d been in there with Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua?’ I would’ve put Daniel Dubois in with him ages ago.
"Daniel is ranked number two by the WBO now, Usyk is the [WBO] mandatory challenger to Anthony Joshua and Anthony is talking about vacating the title, rather than fighting Usyk. I don’t know if he’s gonna do that, but if he does then that means Daniel will fight Usyk, providing he beats Joe Joyce on November 28. If that fight’s there, I would do that in a heartbeat."
