In early 2017, Ukrainian fighters - super bantamweight Oleh “The Ukrainian Pitbull” Dovhun and cruiserweight Lyubomyr “The Demoliton Man” Pinchuk - landed in Pittsburgh to train under Michael McSorley at the Conn-Greb Boxing Club.

“From day one, the goal has been winning world titles for both of them…..and we are getting closer to that  right now!”

Dovhun is now ranked #4 by the WBA at super bantamweight following a split decision victory over Aremenia’s Geram Eloyan (7-2) on March 18th at the Paramount in Huntingdon New  York.

“I want Murodjan Akhmadaliev, or Stephen Fulton, it doesn’t matter. I want big fights and world titles!”

Prior to turning pro in Pittsburgh, Dovhun was a member of the World Series of Boxing’s Ukraine Ottoman team and had amassed over 300 fights in his amateur career.

“I sparred Akhmadaliev in the amateurs. I want that fight and I want his belts. I want to bring world titles back to the people of Pittsburgh and fans in New York…..I want to make Ukraine proud!”

On April 9th at Rivers Casino & Resort, Schenectady NY, Pinchuk (14-2-1) faces Rome Italy’s Simone Federici (18-2-1) in the Star Boxing Promotions main event for Federici’s WBC Continental America’s cruiserweight title as well as Pinchuk’s WBA NABA Gold belt.

Pinchuk has registered notable wins over cruiserweights Garrett Wilson, #15 WBA Johnnie Langston, Lamont Capers and Jose Mario Flores. The winner of this ten round showdown will likely crack the WBA/WBC top 10 cruiserweight rankings.
