WBO light flyweight champion Donnie Nietes is happy over the 4th round knockout victory of countryman John Reil Casimero over Thai world champion Amnat Ruenroeng and claims Casimero even won their first fight which the Filipino lost in ocntroversial fashion some eleven months ago.

Speaking through his trainer Edmund Villamor, Nietes who defends his won WBO light flyweight title against Mexico's Raul "Rayito" Garcia at the St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City on Saturday said he was "happy for John Reil who is a good fighter and hits hard" as he learned when he watched Casimero spar at the ALA Gym in Cebu.

Villamor said Nietes is in excellent condition and is primed to win by a knockout against  "Rayito" the identical twin brother of Raul Garcia Hirales from whom Nietes won the title by a lopsided decision in the  same venue on October 5, 2011.

At their final pre-fight press conference in Bacolod City Garcia bragged " He’s gonna say goodbye to his title. He beat my brother but I'm going to be the equalizer. I’m going to bring back the title to Mexico.”

Nietes  was unfazed by the cocky Mexican and indicated he was confident of a victory by knockout.

The longest reigning Filipino world champion who was ripped and ready when we saw him work out at the ALA Gym along Balete Drive recently said "I’m one hundred percent prepared for this fight. I will do my best to knock him out but I can’t assure you in what round it will happen.” .
