Considering it was his first day of sparring after coming back from short break, Donaire said “my air is still there, my body’s not as sore and I’ pushing myself really hard.”
Donaire said “I am really confident. All I need to do is sharpen up my technique a little bit, setting up my punches but other than that and Dodie Boy Penalosa (his trainer) is pretty confident.
The original plan was to go four rounds in sparring but Donaire said he went two more rounds adding “ I could have gone more but its too early so we just stuck to six rounds.”
