The New Jersey Herald News reports that promoter Don King has agreed to buy 50% of Dino Duva's promotional company, Duva Boxing, based in New Jersey. The two promoters plan to announce their deal at a December 5 press conference in New York City.

King is now co-promoter to one of Duva's biggest guns, heavyweight contender Samuel Peter. King is also the co-promoter to James Toney, with Goossen-Tutor holding the other end of the contract. A power play for sure, because when Toney and Peter face off in their January rematch, King wins either way. The winner receives a shot at WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev. King is already the American promoter for WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev and has WBO champ Shannon Briggs under contract. King once again looks to rack up all of the heavyweight titles in order to force IBF champ Wladimir Klitschko into a fight with one of his champions.

"People in boxing are going to question this decision," Duva told the Herald. "Obviously, everyone is always weary of the reputation Don has, but I feel very comfortable, secure and excited about going into a partnership with Don. I have no second thoughts or doubts about it. I think it's going to be a great partnership."

"People are going to say, 'You're going into business with the devil.' Well, the devil is in the eye of the beholder. And I'll tell you this, I'd rather be in business with Don King than with a lot of other people in boxing."
