Russian middleweight Dmitry Pirog won’t fight Aaron Mitchell in the eliminator bout for the IBF title on February 6. Instead he will step into the ring against Mitchell’s twin brother Eric. Aaron was injured during the training, and that’s why the swap of the opponents was agreed upon.

Eric Mitchell has the record of 6 losses in 29 fights, he’s also known for his victory over IBF ex-champion Alejandro Berrio. Eric knocked him out in 2003, but in his next bout lost to Ricardo Mayorga.

The undercard of the boxing night, which will take place in Moscow at the Aquarium Hotel arena, will also feature several interesting fights. That includes the bout of Timur Ibragimov for the WBA International heavyweight belt against Tanzanian Awadh Tamim, as well as the fight of Kazakh boxer Vitaliy Demyanenko versus Argentinean Jorge Daniel Miranda for the PABA and WBO Asia Pacific welterweight titles.
