Sources close to the situation have informed BoxingScene.com that unbeaten junior welterweight prospect Dmitriy Salita (28-0, 16KOs) will face tough Willie Limond (29-2, 8KOs) on the undercard of Joe Calzaghe vs. Roy Jones Jr., live on HBO pay-per-view from New York's Madison Square Garden.

Limond fights at lightweight and is best known for July's eight-round war with Amir Khna. During the bout, Limond dropped Khan hard and had him in all sorts of trouble, but was unable to finish him off. Khan recovered and later stopped Limond.

A source told BoxingScene that Salita wants to break away from the image of being a New York club fighter, and wants to show his true potential against the best fighters from across the globe.

Salita recently signed a three-fight deal with Jones' promotional company, Square Ring. Another fight on the undercard will see former champion Julio Diaz (35-4, 26KOs) face Ray "Emperor" Narh (22-1, 19KOs).
