A source close to the situation has advised BoxingScene.com that depending on the outcome of Andreas Kotelnik's defense of WBA junior welterweight title against Norio Kimura (32-5, 18KOs) on September 13 in Lviv, Ukraine, an offer may be made to face unbeaten prospect Dmitriy Salita ( 28-0, 16KOs) on the pay-per-view undercard to Joe Calzaghe vs. Roy Jones Jr. on November 8 at New York's Madison Square Garden.
Feelers were previously sent to Kotelnik (29-2, 13KOs) for a fight with Salita when Calzaghe-Jones was scheduled on pre-postponement date of September 20. Due to his September title defense, he turned the fight down. If a deal can be struck for Kotelnik, Salita's slated opponent Willie Limond will probably get reshuffled on the card and matched with Darling Jimenez.
