The Dina Thorslund, 23-0 (9 KOs), vs Lila Furtado, 11-3 (2 KOs) fight January 31 in Kolding, Denmark, will now be for the WBC interim title.
The MVP-promoted Thorslund relinquished her WBC and WBO bantamweight titles earlier this year when she became pregnant, but after a misscarriage she decided to come back. The first fight in her comeback will be at featherweight, though – and now for a world title, even if it is for an interim version.
The WBC champion is Tiara Brown.
Headlining the Kolding show is Jacob Bank, 17-0 (9 KOs), defending the WBO Global super middleweight title against William Scull, 23-1 (9 KOs).
