Magomed Shaburov, a trainer within Universum Box Promotion, has lashed out at Arena Box Promotion CEO Ahmet Oner. The war of words started when Oner harshly criticized Shaburov’s boxer WBA "regular" super middleweight title holder Dimitri Sartison by saying that he wasn’t a real champion. Sartison won the "regular" title last weekend. Mikkel Kessler was elevated to "super" champion prior to losing that title to Andre Ward.
“If that was the opinion of an adequate person, I would listen to it" - told Shaburov to Sportbox.ru. – "But how can I take seriously the opinion of the man who pays double to the opponents of his fighters so that they fall in particular round?! I also know that when this man was a boxer himself, he bought his victories. There’s no boxing for him, it’s only business that matters."
Also Shaburov said that Sartison lost to Mikkel Kessler in 2008 because he “wasn’t fit enough for that fight, he injured his right hand at the sparring session and besides had displacement of the dorsal vertebra." Shaburov is sure that if the boxers meet again, Sartison will be the favorite to beat Kessler.
