Former EBU heavyweight champ Alexander Dimitrenko (32-1, 21KOs) was ringside for Sauerland Event´s big show on Saturday night and confirmed to this reporter that he indeed is planning to move forward with his fight against Kubrat Pulev (15-0, 7KOs) for the now vacant EBU on March 31 in Kiel.

"I am a free agent now," said Dimitrenko to BoxingScene.com. "I´m no longer with Universum and I'm signed to any promoter. I don´t know that much about Pulev. I have only seen him fight once but I do know he was a good amateur. But so was I - even if it was a long time ago.

Dimitrenko was forced to relinquish the title due to injury and it was then won by Robert Helenius, who beat Dereck Chisora but then Helenius became injured and had to give up the title.
