Heavyweight prospect Alexander Dimitrenko has decided on the date of his next fight but not on the opponent. Dimitrenko says that he’ll have a tune-up fight on May 22. It will be the first bout for the Ukrainian since his loss to Eddie Chambers last July. After that Dimitrenko plans to challenge the winner of Audley Harrison-Michael Sprott fight for the European title.

“At first we planned to fight Harrison for the European title which became vacant after Albert Sosnowski renounced it for the Vitali Klitschko bout”, - told Dimitrenko to AllBoxing.Ru. – But then we decided that I would face the winner of Harrison-Sprott fight approximately in July”.

Dimitrenko is skeptical about Klitschko’s choice of an opponent. He claims that he’d love to meet his fellow-Ukrainian in the ring.

“On the one hand, Sosnowski is a European champion and he’s pretty well-known in Germany”, - Alexander told. – “But it’s no secret that Albert isn’t even close to Vitali’s level. For Klitschko it’s an absolutely safe opponent who is unlikely to offer any resistance. I would love to step into the ring against Klitschko and I think that our bout could be interesting and competitive, as well as marketable in Germany, for we both are well-known here. I even talked about that with his trainer Fritz Zdunek but he didn’t give me definite answer and preferred to laugh the matter off”.
