BoxingScene.com has been advised that undefeated super featherweight contender Diego Magdaleno's rehab on his injured left hand is progressing well. Magdaleno (23-0, 9KOs) said that he should be cleared to do mitt work and hit the bags later this week.
"Rehab is going great. I have two more sessions this week. I should be cleared on Friday to hit the bags and do mitt work," Magdaleno stated.
Magdaleno was scratched from his scheduled December 7th ring return when he injured his hand during a sparring session about a week before the fight.
The Las Vegas resident isn't letting his injury prevent him from staying in shape. He will be running a half marathon on Sunday that starts in Venice Beach, CA with his brother Jessie (13-0) and former welterweight champion Victor Ortiz.
