On November 8th super featherweight contender Diego Magdaleno returns to the ring against Hevinson Herrera. The fight takes place in Pharr, Texas and will headline Unimas' Solo Boxeo series.

While there had been talk of a potential clash against WBA interim super featherweight champion Bryan Vasquez or a possible move up to 135 pounds, Magdaleno said that all of his focus is on Herrera. A slip up on November 8th would be a big setback for his career.

"First things first. I have to take this guy out, make a statement for the new year. Let's end this year with some more fire then I can move forward with the next victims in 2015," said Magdaleno.

Diego and his brother Jessie started training under the guidance of Joel Diaz a few fights back. Magdaleno feels that his chemistry with his coach has improved with every fight and he expects another great performance.

"Every fight with Joel I have improved and this is just another fight for me to show the world Joel's work," Magdaleno told BoxingScene.com.

Magdaleno said that if all goes well he plans on returning to the ring In the first quarter if 2015 if all goes well in November 8th.
