There has been talk lately of Diego Magdaleno possibly fighting for a world title sometime in 2015. That talk will have to wait for later this year.

Lightweight contender Diego Magdaleno will fight Luis Solis in a stay-busy bout on April 18, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told BoxingScene.com.

The 10 round bout will take place on the undercard of the Terence Crawford-Thomas Dulorme world title bout that will take place at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

The bout will not be televised on HBO, but highlights could be shown on "Boxing After Dark" telecast.

Magdaleno (27-1, 11 KOs) has won his last four bouts in a row since his only defeat as a pro at the hands of Roman Martinez in April of 2013. In his last bout on November 8, Magdaleno stopped Hevinson Herrera in the third round.

Originally from Las Vegas, Magdaleno is trained by Joel Diaz in Las Vegas.

Solis (15-6-4, 12 KOs), who hails from Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico, has lost his last four bouts in a row. In his last bout on December 6, Solis was stopped by Jose Felix in the third round.

The HBO telecast will also include the 12 round bout between Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov. That bout will take place at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, N.Y.
