Diaz: "No Way That I Lose To Morales"

World lightweight champion David Diaz of Chicago said "there is no way I will lose to Erik Morales in my hometown.

"Morales is going for his fourth world title. That's a big deal for him. But more important is defending my world title for the first time in my hometown of Chicago. There is no way I'm going to lose in front of my fans," Diaz said.

Morales and Diaz will battle on Top Rank's big 'War For 4' PPV at the All-State Arena in Rosemont, Ill. on Saturday, August 4. Both were interviewed on Rick Seara's powerful 'War For 4' Preview Show which includes riveting video of each. Morales noted "Diaz has the perfect style for me. I really have something to prove and I also believe at lightweight I will be stronger and quicker. This is a fight I really want and I am very motivated."

Yo Running W/Knives, I'm not sure what Diaz you're talking about, but the Diaz that Morales is fighting on 8/4 is older than Morales. That's David Diaz if you havent heard... Don't get him mixed up with Juan..... Morales got way more miles, yes, but hes not older.

what you about? sure morales aint youthful, but he's younger than diaz. if he boxes he will win.. if he slugs he will lose. the same rule applies when he fights pacquiao, but his passion gets the best of him. No, No he's not younger than Diaz. He's nearly 8 years older Morales is. And I don't think Morales stands any chance whatsoever. He'd be fighting a natural lightweight and Morales should never even be considered a threat at 135. He's too blown up. I agree... I agree, I think David Diaz will beat Erik Morales. As much as I like Erik Morales his best days were a long, long time ago. He's running on fumes now and he has been for a while. David Diaz is a youthful and strong lightweight and Erik Morales is: (A.) Not a Lightweight, and (B.) Not young. TKS
