BoxingScene.com has learned that Zab Judah is out of the running [at the moment] for a July shot at IBF/WBC junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander (20-0, 13KOs). From what I was told, there are several issues with some of Judah's past promoters claiming the fighter owes them money, and options.

The two guys being mentioned for Alexander's July fight are Paul Spadafora (44-0-1, 18KOs) and Marcos Maidana (27-1, 26KOs). Maidana would have to get past undefeated Victor Cayo on March 27. Spadafora has been getting active with his career after dealing with a series of legal issues and injuries. Now trained by former champion Pernell Whitaker, Spadafora knocked out Ivan Fiorletta this past Friday in Florida.

BoxingScene spoke with Spadafora's promoter Michael Acri, who confirmed the ongoing negotiations. Spadafora has not made 140-pounds since 2004, but Acri assured me his fighter can make the weight.

"Yeah, me and Don [King] have been talking about that fight. We're going to talk some more later this week," Acri told BoxingScene.com.
